Today was my late night at work, so I don’t have the time right now to show the complete master bedroom transformation….. However, I wanted to show you the latest update! We have had this bedroom suite since 2003. It’s BIG! It’s HEAVY! (Just ask anyone who has moved it)! And, it may look outdated to some…..I still absolutley love it! It was made by Micheal Amini Designs. I have many pieces to this collection, including a beautiful armoire and a spectacular entertainment center. Anyway, I am not ready to part with any of it, but I definitly wanted to lighten things up a bit! Here is the “Before” pic…

As you can see….I was stuck in the neautral “brown, sage and burgundy” color palette. Our furniture is a tad large for this room so it does not get much natural light. The result…I felt like I was living in a cave! After installing our new master bath (from the studs up), this room just felt DULL! I was on the hunt for some new bedding and accessories to lighten up the space. I’m not gonna lie….I am PICKY!! This bedding was top of the line when I purchased it and I was in no hurry to settle for anything that was mediocre. I will not sacrifice on bedding! Well, as luck would have it, I discovered that Michael Amini also has a bedding line!!! Who knew!?! Behold the results below!!

Can you say “Welcome to the light”?! I am so impressed with the quality of this bedding! The king set was 10 pieces. That included 3 euro shams, 2 king shams, the comforter and 4 decorative pillows. I purchased white 1800 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, premium feather pillows and two extra pillow cases to get this look. If you are counting….that is 13 pillows!! What can I say? I love a cozy bed! The new lamps with white shades, a couple of pictures from the local thrift store and the new white shag rug complete the look. I still need to hang some drapes and add a few accessories….But WOW! What a transformation! Hope you enjoy this post. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask! 🙂
