Homemade Meatballs, Fresh Tomato Marinara and Garlic Bread!

Since I had a lot of fresh tomato marinara sauce to use up, I decided to make some homemade meatballs and garlic bread for my birthday celebration dinner. These meatballs are super easy and the best part is, you can make them what ever size you like!

For the meatballs, mix together 1 pound of lean ground beef, 1 pound of ground pork, 1 cup Italian bread crumbs, 2 eggs, 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 Tablespoon seasoned salt, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 1/2 Tablespoons dried parsley, splash of milk and 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese. Roll into balls and place on parchment lined baking sheet. Season well with salt and pepper.

Next, pop them in a 400 degree oven for about 30 minutes. Turn them 1/2 way through to brown on both sides.

Once they have finished cooking, add them to your sauce and let them simmer for at least an hour.

To prep the garlic bread, slice a loaf of Italian bread in half lengthwise. Place on a baking sheet cut sides up. In a small bowl mix together 1 stick of melted butter, 1 tablespoon minced garlic and 1 tablespoon Italian herb seasoning. Heavily coat the bread and bake in a 400 degree oven for about 10 minutes or until the edges of the bread are nicely browned.

Enjoy!!
