Garlic Romano Croutons

Who doesn’t love bread?! That being said, I always have bread on hand or in the freezer. For these croutons I used 3 hoagie buns from the Kroger deli. You can use whatever bread you have on hand. These are great served with soups/stews, tossed with a salad or eaten as a snack!

Ingredients:

Bread of your choice

1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 stick butter (melted)

1 Tablespoon dried Oregano

1 Tablespoon dried Basil

1 Tablespoon Parsley

Romano cheese (shredded)

Add all ingredients to the melted butter except for the shredded cheese. Brush cut sides of bread with butter mixture and top with shredded romano cheese. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven until the cheese is melted and butter has seeped down into the bread. Remove from the oven and cut into cubes. Add all cubes to a large preheated skillet and toss to coat evenly. Allow to rest over low heat (tossing occasionally) until dry and crunchy.

I hope you enjoy!
