Here is another great recipe I developed to help use up some of those “Pandemic Pantry” supplies! When I started putting this recipe together I was looking for something to add some extra flavor to the dish. Well, I just so happened to have a container of cultured buttermilk powder hanging out in my fridge. So, I thought, why not?!?! Let me tell you, it gave me just the zing I was hoping for, to take this recipe to the next level! You will definitely be adding this one to your regular menu rotation. It is quick, easy and tastes amazing! I have tried many other recipes for ground beef stroganoff and they all seem to have one thing in common…..They taste bland!! I guarantee you, this recipe will be your new “go to”, and the best part is, you probably have most of the ingredients on hand!

Ingredients:
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 yellow onion, diced
- 8 ounce can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 3 Tablespoons flour
- 2 Tablespoons cultured buttermilk powder
- 3 cups water
- 2 beef flavored bullion cubes
- 2 Tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 Tablespoon dried parsley leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 Tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 12 ounce package wide egg noodles, cooked, drained (reserve 1/2 cup pasta water)
- 1/2 cup pasta water
- Fresh chopped parsley (optional)
- Sour cream (optional)
Preparation:
In a deep (wok style) skillet, over high heat, brown ground beef and onion. Add in mushrooms and saute until slightly browned. Add in flour and buttermilk powder, stir to coat and cook 2-3 minutes. Gradually add in the water, stirring constantly. Add in remaining ingredients (except the fresh parsley and sour cream) stir well and simmer over low heat. Meanwhile, cook your noodles according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water. Drain noodles and add reserved water and drained noodles directly to simmering sauce. Stir well to coat and simmer an additional 5 minutes, stirring often. Plate and serve, topped with sour cream and fresh chopped parsley, if desired.

I hope you enjoy! If you make this, please come back and let me know your thoughts!
